outside
the cottage
The cottage sits on a third of an acre, which is large for a typical Cape Cod cottage.
The charcoal grill sits on the deck, and a lunch at the picnic table with the water
as a backdrop make for a nice afternoon.
On the other side of the house, we have a rocking bench where you can sit in the shade
and watch the boats go by.
the association beach
There is a little Association Beach only .2 miles down the road from the cottage. Beach chairs are available to borrow at the cottage and the beach is
in walking distance. It is a small sandy beach that it free to use for residents and renters on the peninsula. Larger beaches are a few miles away and can be reached by car.
washburn island
Washburn Island is across from the association beach. Kayaks can be rented from the business near the entrance to the peninsula,
and there is a place close to the cottage where you can drop your own canoes and kayaks into the water. If you have your own motor boat, you can
put your boat in at the public boat ramp next to the kayak rental at Edward's Boat yard and parking is free for residents and non-residents alike.
Boating arond the island and in the bay on the other side of the island is is beautiful.
